Sunday Service Follow-up 09.21.20

This past Sunday, we began our fall series in Saint Paul’s letter to the Ephesian church titled, Ephesians: Beholding the Body of Christ. Preaching from Ephesians 1.15-23, Joshua showed us how God calls us to pray to him that we might know and experience him better, especially that we might know his hope, riches, and power.

Below you will find questions to help you respond to God’s word with your hearts and your lives, so that you might become more like Christ.

Discussion and Response Questions

Read Ephesians 1.15-23 and consider the questions below.

  • Can you relate with Robert Robinson’s when he said, “I would give 1,000 worlds to feel today what I felt back then?” What does this struggle look like for you?
  • In this passage God calls us to pray to him that we might know and experience him more.
What is your initial reaction to prayer being the remedy to our struggle to respond to the truths of who God is and what he’s done for us?
  • What effect does the reality that God desire to be known us have on you? Do you struggle to believe this? What might it look like for you to live in light of this truth?
  • Knowing God better means knowing and experiencing our hope, our riches, and our power. Which of these do you most need to be aware of? How can we help you live in light of this reality?
